Dr. Nahigian completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Los Angeles before entering the School of Dentistry at the University of Southern California, where he had a distinguished academic career.   He received many awards, including the USC School of Dentistry scholarship award, the Southern California Academy of Oral Pathology award, the California Dental Association graduation award, and he was elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society.

Immediately after receiving his dental degree he entered the three year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Los Angeles County University of Southern California Medical Centre.   Dr. Nahigian is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon, who has successfully placed thousands of dental implants.   He maintains his specialty practice in oral and maxillofacial surgery in Beverly Hills and Malibu.
